Description:

The discussion panel will consider modern trends in education that have developed at the global level and in the practice of individual countries.

The participants will include the heads and members of the national delegations of the first and second sessions of the Intergovernmental Special Committee meeting related to the revision of the 1974 Recommendation concerning Education, held from May 30 to June 2, and from July 10 to 13, 2023, respectively, at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine, Ukrainian and foreign scholars.

The panelists will share their views on the Recommendation on Education for Peace and Human Rights, International Understanding, Co-operation, Fundamental Freedoms, Global Citizenship, and Sustainable Development, adopted by the Intergovernmental Special Committee meeting.

The participants will also share experiences of the national education systems of their countries.
