Tommi Himberg

Counsellor, Permanent delegation of Finland to the OECD and UNESCO, Paris; Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Finland. Dr. Himberg works as a counsellor for education and science policy in the permanent delegation of Finland to the OECD and UNESCO. Prior to his mission in Paris, he was a post-doctoral researcher and university teacher, studying dynamics of human interaction and music psychology. He holds a PhD from Cambridge University and has on the side of his studies and research career, held various positions of trust, e.g. as the president of the Finnish National Union of Students and as the first president of the Young Academy Finland, a science academy for early career researchers. In his current role, he is focusing on education and science in digital and green transition, and especially aspects of equity and inclusion.
