Volodymyr Nikiforenko

Doctor of Juridical Science, honoured lawyer of Ukraine, Major General, First Deputy of the Head of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

Volodymyr Nikiforenko is the author and initiator of a number of drafts of law to improve the legislation on border security, conducting counterintelligence activities, systematization and documentation of illegal activities, their analysis and operational assessment in the field of protection and defense of the state border. He has been working in the field of national and international security for over 30 years, in particular in the Security Service of Ukraine and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. Mr Nikiforenko was a participant in hostilities in Eastern Ukraine, and now he is a member of the Commission for Coordination of Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine chaired by the President of Ukraine. He has extensive professional and scientific connections among the community of border guards of partner services and organizations, as well as in the system of integrated border management in Ukraine.
