Vira Mykhailenko

Head of the High Anti-Corruption Court, PhD in Law.
Vira Mykhailenko has two degrees in law (2003) and intellectual property (2008); she is a national trainer of the Council of Europe on European anti-discrimination standards.
She began her legal career in the civil service, at the Legal Department of the State Committee for the State Material Reserve.
From 2003 to 2006, she held various positions in the State Reserve System of Ukraine.
In May 2007, she passed the qualification exam and received a certificate of the right to practice law and a certificate of the Ukrainian Bar. Since 2007, she has been practicing law in criminal cases.
In 2010-2018, she taught the following subjects: Criminal Procedure; Judicial and Law Enforcement Agencies of Ukraine; Human Rights Protection Mechanism, etc;
From 2014 to 2018, she was a trainer of the National Police (training of patrol police cadets; representatives of human rights departments within the framework of the reform of internal affairs bodies; advanced training of investigators).
From August 2018 to March 2019, she was a student of the National School of Judges (participant of the IV selection for the position of a first instance court judge).
Since 2014, she has participated in various human rights projects of public and international organizations (including the Council of Europe, the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union, the Norwegian Refugee Council, etc.)
She has participated in various international programs and internships.
In April 2019, the President of Ukraine signed a decree appointing her to the position of a judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court, and in July of the same year, she was elected by the meeting of judges as a judge-speaker of the High Anti-Corruption Court.
