Mirte Boot

Mirte Boot is a research associate at Oxford Net Zero, the University of Oxford, and co-founder and director of the NGO intiative Carbon Balance. Here she works on the standards and policy frameworks needed to achieve net zero, including oil and gas accountability frameworks such as the Carbon Takeback Obligation (CTBO).  Mirte’s past experience includes directly engaging with international oil companies, asset managers and journalists as co-manager of a responsible investment NGO, as well as directing political and media strategies for climate activism campaigns. Mirte holds a Master of Public Policy from the Blavatnik School at the University of Oxford.
