Ihor Konopka

Human rights lawyer.

Mr. Konopka is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (2014, law) and the Faculty of Law of Lund University (2021, international human rights law). In 2021, he also completed an internship in the Department of Human Rights and Business of the Danish Institute of Human Rights.

Mr. Konopka’s areas of professional interest are business and human rights, human rights due diligence, and corporate civil liability for damage caused by human rights violations. He is the author of a master’s thesis on the prospect of introducing mandatory human rights due diligence in Ukraine.

In 2017-2019, Mr. Konopka volunteered, coordinated and managed educational projects on human rights education, including the development of online courses in cooperation with UNICEF Ukraine and the OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine.

In 2012-2017, Igor Konopka worked as a corporate lawyer at the law firm FCLEX (today – EQUITY). He specialized in such practices as corporate, banking and tax disputes, restructuring and bankruptcy, enforcement proceedings.
