Dirk Hoffmann

Senior Adviser, Danish Institute for Human Rights.

With a background in international human rights and specifically international labour law, Dirk Hoffmann has spent almost a decade working in the field of business and human rights. Having spent the majority of that time at the Danish Institute for Human Rights (DIHR) – Denmark’s National Human Rights Institution – he has experience building human rights and business capacity of National Human Rights Institutions, civil society organisations and businesses globally, including on National Action Plans on Business and Human Rights. He recently advised the Kenyan government on their National Action Plan process. He is also involved in DIHR’s direct work with companies on business and human rights, currently managing DIHR’s partnership with Nestlé S. A. Dirk most recently led DIHR’s publication on a Labour Rights Assessment of Nestlé and Golden Agri-Resource’ palm oil supply chain in Indonesia.
