Diana Protsenko

Lawyer, Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, mediator (since 2007, CEDR accreditation, UK), trainer of consensual dispute resolution practices (CEDR, 2009, Munich Chamber of Commerce, 2014), developer of original trainings on mediation and negotiations (since 2010), co-author of draft laws on mediation, author of publications on mediation and dialogues, member of expert working groups on the development of various documents of the professional community, in particular:  “Standards of Dialogue: Principles and Definitions” (2018); Basic Principles of Teaching Basic Mediator Skills (2019); Code of Professional Ethics for Mediators (2017, updated 2022); “Who’s Who in Mediation and Dialogue in Ukraine” (2018, updated 2021); Plan of Consolidated Strategic Actions for the Implementation of Mediation and the Law of Ukraine “On Mediation” (2021); Policy for the Institutionalization of Mediation and Integration of Professional Ethical Standards of Mediators in Interaction with the State (2022). From October 2015 to February 2022, she was the President of the National Association of Mediators of Ukraine (NGO “NAMU”), and since 2022 she has been an honorary member of NAMU. She is an expert on OSCE dialogue projects, contributed to the development and successful implementation of the OSCE dialogue portfolio in Ukraine, and is currently a mentor for the OSCE Women’s Peacebuilding Leadership Program. Her main research interests include the study of problematic issues of mediation, other alternative dispute resolution, conflict management systems, legal innovations, information law, and e-democracy.
