«Human Rights in the Digital Era: Value Foundations and Protection Mechanisms»

This two-day panel discussion will address a broad spectrum of issues related to digitalization and its implications for human rights, democracy, and the rule of law. The sessions will engage with:
- Fundamental values, rights, and legal standards in the digital context;
- International and national protection mechanisms;
- The challenges posed by contemporary technologies, with particular attention to artificial intelligence and its governance;
- Comparative perspectives from the European Union, Ukraine, and the United States.
The debates will bring together diverse viewpoints and highlight practical approaches to safeguarding human rights in rapidly evolving digital environments.
The event is organized by the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University within the framework of the IX Kharkiv International Legal Forum; this event is also part of the project The Jean Monnet Center of Excellence European Fundamental Values in Digital Era, 101085385 – EFVDE – ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH.
