The round table “Mediation as a Global Trend of Legal Practice” is devoted to the current problems of the development of alternative ways of resolving disputes in general, and mediation in particular, issues of regulatory and legal regulation of relevant procedures and their promotion in the legal field.
During the event, discussions will be held on issues of elaboration of effective legislative regulation of the mediation institution in Ukraine and abroad, ratification issues of the Singapore Convention on Recognition and Enforcement of Agreements Achieved by the Results of Mediation, 2019, prospects for the introduction and development of extrajudicial and judicial models of mediation in Ukraine, etc. In addition, the presentation of the results of the study “A comprehensive analysis of the current state, barriers and opportunities for the development of mediation in Ukraine” is planned, conducted by international and national experts supported by the USAID “New Justice” program.
Scholars, judges, lawyers, notaries, representatives of other legal professions, graduate students, law students and anyone interested in the problems of the formation and development of the mediation institute in Ukraine are invited to participate in the event .
