Environmental and Legal Civic Platform: Restoration and Compensation Mechanisms for Environmental Damage in the Context of Armed Aggression
The round table aims to facilitate an expert discussion of the legal, institutional and practical aspects of redressing the environmental damage inflicted upon Ukraine as a result of armed aggression, as well as to identify possible ways of integrating compensatory, restorative, judicial, administrative, international legal and civil society mechanisms in this field.
Particular attention will be devoted to the recording, documentation, evidentiary substantiation, assessment and compensation of environmental damage, as well as to the role of public authorities, judicial institutions, local self-government bodies, civil society, human rights organisations and the academic community in developing an effective model of environmental restoration and accountability for environmental damage caused in the context of war.

Food Security: the Legal Dimension of Post-War Reconstruction
The panel discussion focuses on current legal challenges and prospects for ensuring food security in Ukraine in the context of post-war recovery. The focus is on improving agricultural and land legislation, providing a legal framework for the sustainable development of agriculture, restoring agri-food infrastructure, guaranteeing the right to food and establishing a resilient agri-food system, as well as the key legislative and institutional changes required to rebuild the agricultural sector, enhance its resilience and integrate Ukraine into the European legal framework.

Ecocide as a Crime Against the Future: Global Challenges and Ukraine's Experience
This discussion panel will focus on ecocide, approaches to its criminalization, and the capacity of modern legal systems to address large-scale environmental destruction. Ukrainian and international experts will discuss the prospects of recognizing ecocide as an international crime, with a special emphasis on Ukraine's experience in documenting the environmental impact of war. The event will also feature the themed art project Ecocide.
