Virginijus Bitė

Professor and director of the Institute of Private Law at Faculty of Law at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) (Vilnius, Lithuania). He was also the Head of the Justice Research Laboratory at MRU. He conducts research and publishes articles in the field of commercial and company law, especially on regulation of close (private) companies and liability of directors and shareholders. He is a member of European scholars’ group on private company reforms, as well as a member of editorial board of research journal “Jurispudencija” (MRU). V. Bitė is a legal practitioner since 2004 and attorney at law since 2008, as well as a Chairman of the Committee on Civil Law and Civil Procedure at Lithuanian Bar Association and recommended arbitrator at Lithuanian Court of Arbitration.
