Sergiy Gupiak
Deputy Head of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention
Born in Vinnytsia.
In 2008, he graduated with honors from the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law Academy of Ukraine with a degree in Law.
In 2012, he graduated with honors from the National Academy of Prosecution of Ukraine (part-time) and received a Master of Laws degree.
In 2008, he started working in the prosecution authorities: first as an investigator at the Vinnytsia Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor’s Office, and then held various positions of investigators and prosecutors.
Since October 2013, he has held senior positions in the prosecutor’s office, rising from Deputy Head of the Department to Head of the Prosecutor’s Office of Vinnytsia Region.
In 2018-2019, he worked on international projects to combat human trafficking and labor exploitation.
From March 2021 until his appointment as Deputy Head of the NACP, he worked as the Head of the Investigation Department (based in Vinnytsia) of the Territorial Department of the State Bureau of Investigation located in Khmelnytskyi.
In 2022-2023, he was a candidate for the position of Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, being one of the three winners of the competition.
In 2023-2024, he participated in the competition for the position of the Head of the NACP, where he also reached the final.
