Romaric Ferraro

Head of the Legal Department of the Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Ukraine.

He provides legal support on international humanitarian law issues in the course of the ICRC’s protection and assistance activities. He also advises national authorities on the implementation of international humanitarian law at the national level and participates in the ICRC’s bilateral and confidential dialogue to ensure compliance with international humanitarian law by parties to armed conflicts.

Romaric joined the ICRC in 2004 as a legal adviser and worked in the Latin America and Caribbean Division of the International Humanitarian Law Advisory Service, including assignments in Colombia, Mexico and Central America, and later in Niger and Ethiopia.
