Marieta Safta

Marieta Safta is a Professor PhD Hab at “Titu Maiorescu” University  Bucharest, where she teaches Constitutional Law and Political Institutions, EU law, and Constitutional Justice in the EU, being also the director of the Master of EU Law and Vice-president of the Senate of the University. Professor Safta is also member of the Doctoral School of the Academy of Economic Studies, Bucharest, Romania.

She worked at the Constitutional Court of Romania (2003-2023),  in various capacities such as magistrate-assistant, magistrate-assistant in chief and first magistrate-assistant, serving also  as a liaison officer at the Venice Commission (2012 -2017). Additionally, was Secretary of State at the Ministry of Justice (2017 -2018). Mrs. Safta has published extensively in the field of EU and Constitutional law and is involved in international networks and associations, being also  an Arbitrator within the Court of International Commercial Arbitration, Bucharest.
