Johan Tufte-Kristensen

Associate Professor in private and civil law procedure of the Faculty of Law of the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. In addition to substantial experience in academia, Mr. Tufte-Kristensen has experience with international dispute resolution and contract negotiation from the private sector, which has provided him with a solid knowledge of legal practice and commercial realities. He has been teaching courses on civil procedure, torts, contracts, obligations, and private international law for a long time. Johan Tufte-Kristensen’s work on private international law and international dispute resolution is internationally recognized. Johan is ranked a ‘Future Leader’ in the 2023 and 2024 editions of ‘Who’s Who Legal Arbitration’. Since June 2025, Johan has been the chair of the board for Young Arbitrators Copenhagen, which is an association aiming to promote interest in dispute resolution among young lawyers. He has published reports, books, and articles, including two peer-reviewed books and several peer-reviewed articles, with recognized publishers and journals.
