Indrė Korsakovienė

Lecturer at the Institute of Private Law of Mykolas Romeris University, Lithuania. Indre Korsakoviene is teaching Mediation, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Mediation Practice to Bachelor and Master students of Law and Social Sciences in both in Lithuanian and English. She is also a co-lecturer of the subject Mediation Theory and Practice in the Mediation LLM study programme. Is a member of the MRU Mediation and Sustainable Conflict Resolution Laboratory where conducted trainings on various topics on mediation (Application of Mediation in Domestic Violence Cases, Mediation Simulations, Mediator’s Professional Practices, etc.) for lawyers, psychologists, judges and other professionals. She was one of the mediation experts conducting the Ex-Post evaluation of the existing legal regulation of mandatory mediation in family disputes in Lithuania in 2022, commissioned by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Lithuania.

Indre is a Council member of the Lithuanian Chamber of Mediators since 2022 regularly participating in the processes of mediation legislation in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, initiating mediation events of an educational and awareness-raising nature, and managing the Communication Committee, as well as the Co-secretary of the International Mediation Institute Ethics Committee involved in the drafting and disseminating the revised IMI Code of Conduct for Mediators from 2022 and a member of the International Board of Experts in a FRIMAP Partner UG from 2024.

Indre is a PhD candidate at Mykolas Romeris University, her field of research covers procedural measures aimed at promoting mediation. She has authored and co-authored a number of scientific articles on mediation, has organised and participated in international mediation conferences, is an active member international projects (‚ArtNoConflict‘ in cooperation with The Netherland Business Academy and the leading universities from Ukraine, Georgia and Lithuania; ‚Rebooting the Mediation Directive 2024‘ in cooperation with the Dialogue Through Conflict Fund etc. ) in the field of mediation funded by Erasmus projects and Lithuanian Research Council.

Indre is a coach of a MRU Student Mediation Team preparing students to participate in international law school mediation tournaments in-person and online wordwide (India, Poland, Lithuania, Italy) and a judge as well as an expert of various iternational mediation tournaments. She is a practicing mediator since 2000 in the field of Family, Commercial, Real estate disputes, a founder of the mediation center in Lithuania.
