Dr Renuka Thakore is the Founder of Global Sustainable Futures: Progress through Partnership Network, Research Officer and Tutor at the University College of Estate Management (UCEM). Parallel to this, she holds Lecturer roles at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) and Kingston University. These roles allow Dr Thakore to work with students and contribute to sustainable urban built environment practices, including environment management principles and practice. Through these roles, she has established her expertise in various contemporary issues of urban environments, including urban priorities, buildings, planning, policies, and regeneration; resource management and security; environmental pollution, assessment, mitigation and enhancement; environmental law, contract law, energy generation, use, efficiency and security; waste generation, management, recycling, reuse and circular economy; and water crisis, resources, and safety, business organisation and professionalism. She will bring her expertise in integrating human rights in environmental laws and policies, particularly to groups in vulnerable situations.
