Monica Alfaro

Works since the end of 2015 in the Directorate General for Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission. She works in the Unit for Legal Pathways and Integration, which is responsible for legal migration and integration policies where she is the coordinator for the Single Permit Directive and part of team responsible for the Fitness Check on Legal Migration legislation. Prior to joining DG HOME, Monica worked in the Commission on Competition policy and social security coordination. Before, she worked in different law firms and the European Association representing community pharmacies. Monica has a law degree from the Central University of Barcelona.
