Workshop “IT Business Protection: How to Protect Business? How to Protect Products? How to Protect Data of IT Companies?” (27.09.2018)

On the third day of the II Kharkiv International Legal Forum its participants had an opportunity to meet leading lawyers of the law firm “Juskutum”, the leader in the introduction and development of modern legal services.

The workshop devoted to issues of protection and structuring of IT business was opened by lawyers practicing in the field of technology, media and telecommunications. The Head of the practice Valeriia Diachenko and a lawyer Ihor Shyshko devoted their speeches to the protection of intellectual property rights, focusing special attention on the protection of software products of IT companies.

Yevhen Borysenko, Senior Lawyer of the International Business Administration Practice, told in detail about the peculiarities of building an IT business corporate structure, identified the risks IT companies might face interacting with banks and government agencies.

In conclusion, a business security lawyer Maryna Makovetska spoke about strategies used to protect companies during searches, about the procedure of returning the seized property, and considered possible options of behaviour of the company’s management and its employees during the interrogation.

The “Juskutum” lawyers replied to the questions of the workshop participants, provided advice and useful recommendations on the possibilities to protect interests of IT business in modern conditions, and considered particular situations in their law practice.
