Olga Shilo

Mrs. Shilo obtained her law degree in the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University. She associates her professional growth as a scientist with this university.

Both dissertations – for obtaining the Ph.D. in Law and Doctor of Law degrees – Mrs. Shilo defended at Specialized Academic Council of the University. Her monograph “Theoretical and Practical Bases of the Constitutional Human Right to a Judicial Protection in Pretrial Proceedings in the Criminal Process of Ukraine”, which was published in 2011 and later became the basis for the dissertation, contained an extremely progressive novations, reflected today in the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

Olga Shilo will present a report on the problems of implementation of guarantees of fair trial in different proceedings which form the system of criminal procedure.
