Mariya Yasenovska

The President of Kharkiv Regional Foundation “Public Alternative”. She has more than 17 years of realization of the civil society initiatives in Ukraine. She is a graduate of the Second International High Course on Human Rights organized by the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights (Warsaw, Poland), International training program on human rights organized by Equitas (Montreal, Canada), educational programs of the Council of Europe and others.
Maria has extensive experience of coaching on human rights education for different target groups, including police, judges, teachers, social workers and youth and civil society activists. Since 2015 she is the coach of the Youth Directorate of the Council of Europe.
Ms. Mariya Yasenovska is expert of human rights and children’s rights monitoring. Mariya is a recognized expert analyst and expert on human rights in the various programs of non-governmental organizations in Ukraine and in the international project. She has profound practical experience of advocacy on human rights, including through the Committee of international control over the human rights situation in the Republic of Belarus. Now Mariya Yasenovska is a member of the Coordination Council of the Coalition against discrimination in Ukraine, the Secretariat of the Coalition “Children’s Rights in Ukraine” and the Secretariat of the Coalition “Initiative group on human rights in Crimea”.
