Olena Kharytonova

Olena Kharytonova. PhD, associate professor of the Criminal Law Department No. 1 at the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University (Kharkiv, Ukraine). She specializes in criminal law science of science problems. She has 15 years of experience in research and teaching activities. She developed and introduced thе «Criminal Law Issues in the ECHR Practice» course into the University’s educational process. A certified participant of the educational course «Tolerance in Transitional Societies: Legal Aspects», held by the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine with the support from Black Sea Trust for Regional Cooperation and Robert Bosch Stiftung (2016), research and educational internship «Innovative Educational Technologies: Experience of the European Union and its implementation to the process of training lawyers» at Pan-European University (2016), Methodological School «Teaching of the European Convention on Human Rights and the ECHR Practice» of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine (2017). An expert of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine on legal education. Guest lecturer and speaker of workshops within the framework of gender educational programs of the NGOs and municipal authorities. She is interested in problems of the methodological foundations of gender theory in modern criminal law. A member of such NGOs as the Ukrainian Criminal Law Association and the Kharkiv Law Society.
