Caspar Peek

Caspar Peek, Country Representative for Ukraine, United Nations Population Fund
Caspar Peek started his career as a scientist and teacher in French business school (ICN, Nancy) as Assistant Professor on cross-cultural problem-solving.
In 1993 he was appointed the Project Coordinator for Maternal and Child Health in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama (PSMI, Guatemala). In 1994-1995 he worked as Advisor on public-private partnerships to the Minister of Health of Nicaragua (MOH, Managua) after that he worked as an adviser as Programme Officer and liaison officer for Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama (UNFPA, Managua) for several years.
Since 1998 he has held high posts in the system of UNFPA, in particular Deputy Representative, Haiti and Dominican Republic Country Offices (UNFPA Port-au-Prince), Deputy director of the sub regional office for the English- and Dutch speaking Caribbean (UNFPA SRO, Kingston), Manager of the Global Programming Unit, particularly in charge of south-south cooperation (UNFPA HQ, New York), Regional Programme Advisor in charge of strategic planning and country office support throughout the Asia/Pacific region and officer-in-Charge for country offices in Pakistan and China (UNFPA Regional Office, Bangkok), Country Representative for Thailand and Malaysia (UNFPA, Bangkok)
Since 1 January 2016 Caspar Peek is Country Representative for Ukraine.
